Ella Ingram is an accomplished pianist and musical director from Matlock, Derbyshire. Currently based in Greenwich, London. She is currently Assistant Musical Director for ‘The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry’ at Chichester Festival Theatre.

Ella began playing for local school/amateur productions at a young age, Musical Directing her first show at just 18 years old. She went on to study classical piano at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where she was able to immerse herself in musical theatre work, both inside and outside of college. She graduated in 2023 with BMus (Hons).

Ella made her professional West End Musical Directing debut Assistant MD of ‘SIX’ at the Vaudeville Theatre in 2023. She has depped on shows such as ‘Wicked’ UK Tour, ‘Bat Out of Hell’, Peacock Theatre, and ‘Bonnie and Clyde’, Garrick Theatre. She has also played audition piano for shows such as ‘Anything Goes’ (UK Tour), ‘The King and I’ (UK Tour), and ‘Gypsy’ (The Mill at Sonning). As well as rehearsal piano for ‘Bat Out of Hell’ (International Tour and West End transfer), and Titanic the Musical (Wermland Opera, Sweden).

Ella works as an Acting Through Song accompanist at Trinity Laban, and has also worked as an audition prep coach and exam accompanist at Momentum Performing Arts Academy.

She also regularly teaches piano to children and adults privately.
